Hi. 

Carly McCrory-McKay is the Executive Director of the Champaign County Economic Development Corporation. Her responsibilities include business retention and attraction, marketing Champaign County, and supporting the county’s economic development efforts in partnership with local municipalities, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Parkland College, private industry, and other community organizations.

Carly, a two-time graduate of Eastern Illinois University (B.S. in 2010, MBA in 2011), was chosen as one of Central Illinois Business Magazine’s Forty Under 40 in 2012, awarded the Athena Young Professional Award in 2017, named the American Cancer Society’s (Illinois Region) 2017 Volunteer of the Year, and recognized by Smile Politely in 2019 as Best Champion for Champaign-Urbana of the decade. 

She lives in Champaign-Urbana (also known as #chambana) with her husband, Tate. 

CAUSES

Carly currently serves on the Board of Directors (President) for 40 North, the Champaign County Arts Council, and RISE Behavioral Health and Wellness. In her spare time, she leads Relay For Life of Douglas County, Tuscola Coaches vs. Cancer, Douglas County Rotaract, and the Marilyn Davidson Technology Fund. ​
